Take a look at how we approached event video content in this case study blog of the partnerships between Merchandise & Marketing (M&M) x Nomadic UK.
Looking to maximise the impact of your next event? Then it’s time to look beyond the usual swag and email newsletters. Although high quality swag will always have its place!! Who doesn’t love a free pair of socks, or a handy deck of playing cards?!
In June, Nomadic UK captured the vibrant atmosphere of Elevate Your Events for Cheltenham’s bespoke merchandise company, M&M. The event, held at the luxurious Hatherley Manor Hotel, gave us the perfect setting to create an impactful event wrap video.
Maximise the impact of your next event with event video content
Instead of simply filming attendee interviews and venue shots, we pushed the creative boundaries. Nomadic UK set up a lightning booth and a slow-motion camera station in the corner of the room, transforming it into a hub for interactive video content.
The slow-motion booth allowed us to capture engaging short form content featuring attendees. Stallholders tossed merchandise items like jelly beans or socks into the air for an eye-catching effect. For delegates attending the event, we provided party poppers to add an element of fun.
The addition of the slow mo camera was a real talking point of the event. It was a fantastic ice breaker and all the attendees had great fun trying it out. The slow mo booth meant that M&M gave their attendees some really useful digital merchandise to end their day. The short videos that we created are able to be used on social media and we even took some headshots from the stills that people could use on LinkedIn. All in all, this meant that delegates found enormous extra value in attending M&M’s event.
After the conference, Nomadic UK then edited the event video content and emailed out all of the content captured after the event.

In addition to the slow-motion booth, we recorded snippets of workshops and presentations throughout the day. We also had the opportunity of speaking too. Nomadic UK co-founder, Amy Holley-Cribbin, delivered a brief talk on the place of event video as “digital merchandise”.
Filming your events does more than just capture the moment for posterity. You can use the footage to:
- Instil FOMO (fear of missing out) to draw future attendees,
- Spark nostalgia and excitement to get people to come back again next time,
- Boost ticket sales by showcasing highlights, and
- Engage attendees long after the event by repurposing it across your social media platforms and in blogs and newsletters.
On top of this, M&M arranged valuable interviews with their key customers. These interviews can be repurposed for social media, helping M&M share client testimonials and build credibility.

Video content doesn’t just capture a moment – it amplifies it, creating shareable marketing assets that resonate well beyond the event itself.
Research shows that event video content can increase audience engagement by up to 80% when shared on social platforms, driving both awareness and ticket sales for future events. Leveraging event footage as “digital merchandise” allows brands to connect with audiences in a more dynamic and memorable way. So, as you plan your next conference or exhibition, consider how video can extend the event’s impact and transform attendees into brand advocates. The right video strategy can make your event unforgettable.
